Like most people I started yoga because I wanted to achieve its physical benefits, I didn't even think about it as a spiritual practice until a couple years later. I wish I could have found it earlier. I went from being anxious and depressed to drawing my vision inward and feeling real peace and contentment more regularly.

Practicing yoga allows people to access their full potential and achieve their dreams. It may look like a lot of fancy poses but the reality is that yoga is a practice of deep breathing to create more energy (prana) and awaken the dormant life force, so we can connect with our spirit.

Yoga practice is a science, as you breath deeply yogis can draw in 70% more oxygen into all the fibers of the lungs.

Simply by doing a standing forward bend you can increase tremendous blood flow to the brain, stimulating all the dormant centers. Just by standing tall with a straight back, we become more confident.Yoga is an immediate experience. You can feel the sensations and effects of asanas (poses) instantly.

Before I found yoga I was just like any other kid growing up, except I had a huge passion for skateboarding. You could say I was possessed with riding my skateboard. All the stressful energy of being a kid channeled into that activity. When I was 16 I became a sponsored skater, all I wanted to do was go pro and live the dream!

When I realized that in order to be the "best" at anything I would have to be stronger and more flexible in my body and mind. When I did find yoga at the age of 18 I was able to channel all of my emotions and feelings into my yoga practice.

Yoga has transformed my life in so many positive ways that I feel so much gratitude, and just feel very thankful to be able to teach and share with countless people! It might be a challenge while you are doing the poses or when your first learning, but after each class you will feel better. Practice practice practice.

Practice with enthusiasm, and feeling better will happen automatically, but its up to you. No one else can do your yoga for you.

Yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory. It's like trying to describe the taste of honey to some one who has never tasted it before, you have to experience it for yourself!

Yoga is an attitude, a way of living easeful, peaceful and useful. It is a transformation from a mundane state of life into becoming a fully developed human being.
